# Cortena

> Cortena is the AI operator for accounts payable and accounts receivable for European SMEs. It reads and categorises every incoming invoice with AI, issues ZUGFeRD EN 16931 e-invoices on receivables from CRM and other data sources, processes payment advice, bank reconciliation and category-specific dunning, then sends booking-ready entries straight into the accounting tool you already use: DATEV, Exact Online, or Twinfield. You set the rules. Your team approves. Nothing posts until you sign off.

Cortena removes manual data entry from accounts payable and covers receivables end to end: CRM and other data-source connections for issuance, ZUGFeRD EN 16931 outbound e-invoices, payment advice processing, bank reconciliation, and customer category/class-specific dunning. After a short learning period, roughly 90% of payables are coded end to end, about 30 seconds per invoice for the rest, with a full audit trail. Inbound e-invoices: UBL, CII, ZUGFeRD/Factur-X (incl. XRechnung). Outbound: ZUGFeRD 2.x / EN 16931 hybrid PDF (Peppol send and XRechnung B2G delivery on the near-term roadmap, Soon). Hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany), GoBD aligned, GDPR compliant, no AI training on customer data.
