Mandant (client entity)

A Mandant is a distinct client or legal entity whose books are kept separately, each with its own chart of accounts and number range in DATEV.

The term comes from the tax-advisor world, where each client firm is a Mandant. In practice it means a self-contained set of books: its own accounts, its own VAT profile, its own postings.

A group that runs several legal entities has several Mandanten, and invoices must never cross between them. Keeping them cleanly separated while sharing workflow rules is a real operational challenge.

Cortena supports multiple Mandanten with workflow inheritance and per-entity mailbox routing.

Stop translating invoices into ledger entries by hand

Cortena codes every line to your chart of accounts, cost centre and VAT key, then exports a booking-ready batch to DATEV. See it on your own invoices.
