Skonto is a discount a supplier grants for paying an invoice within a short deadline, for example 2% off if paid within ten days.
Skonto rewards fast payment. Terms like "2% / 10 days, net 30" mean you can deduct two percent if you pay within ten days, otherwise the full amount is due in thirty.
Captured, these discounts add up to real money, but they are easy to lose when invoices sit unprocessed. Catching every Skonto deadline is a direct argument for a fast, reliable AP process.
